Drip Irrigation 101
Learn how to properly install a direct irrigation watering system (also known as drip irrigation) to your garden. Direct irrigation watering systems are absolutely essential to growing healthy, vibrant and productive gardens, especially in our dry climate. Through direct irrigation, you are placing water directly on the base/root system of the plant, which is not only better for the plant, but also better for your water bill. Since the water is placed directly on the spot it is needed there is less water loss due to over spray and evaporation.
This is a hands on class where participants will learn the best installation techniques and proper spacing that will work well in all gardening situations.
About the Instructor
Chad Shavor is an avid gardener and foodscape designer who has been creating gardens and growing food in the state of Colorado since 2001. His love and respect for the environment and all of its beauty is the driving force behind his garden designs and builds. Chad is a licensed teacher in the state of Colorado and utilizes his passion for teaching to help educate others on the importance of self-sufficiency and sustainable food production.
