April 11, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
$15Bruce Brown presents this course on pollinators which covers a broad range of topics designed to answer questions such as: What are pollinators? Why do we need them? How do we promote good pollinator habitat? What plants are specifically good for what pollinators? What other food or shelter should we provide?
Born in Seattle, Bruce Brown grew up in all kinds of water chasing dragonflies and butterflies with makeshift nets. After high school, he attended Shoreline Community College before graduating from the University of Washington with a bachelor of science degree in cellular and molecular biology in 1978. Bruce eventually moved to Colorado where he studied and taught entomology as a graduate teaching assistant. Bruce is a beekeeper and currently removes bees from buildings with a partner in The Bee Team. He also builds and remodels homes in old town and around the Ft Collins area with his business CJR Homes.
