2017 Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off & Fall Jamboree

Fort Collins Nursery’s 9th Annual Giant Pumpkin Contest will be moving to Saturday, October 14th. For the 3rd year, we are an officially sanctioned contest site for the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth which brings a whole new level of competition and some truly staggering entries! Growers will compete for cash prizes and awards in multiple prize categories.

Competition Categories & Prizes
- Heaviest Pumpkin
- Heaviest Pumpkin 1st Place: $1,500
- Heaviest Pumpkin 2nd Place: $1,000
- Heaviest Pumpkin 3rd Place: $500
- Heaviest Pumpkin 4th Place: $200
- Heaviest Pumpkin 5th Place: $50
- Heaviest Squash 1st Place: $150
- Howard Dill (Prettiest Pumpkin) 1st Place: $50 Fort Collins Nursery Gift Card
- Longest Long Gourd 1st Place: $$50 Fort Collins Nursery Gift Card
- Kids Division (13 and under) 1st, 2nd, 3rd place: Ribbon & Prize
Kids Division entries will be weighed and prizes distributed before weighing the adult division entries.
Rules and Regulations
Registration/ Check-in
Contestants may register and check in between 10-11am. Weighing will begin at 11:30. Contestants are encouraged to check in early so we can begin weighing in a timely fashion. Registration forms are available at Fort Collins Nursery the day of the event or on the GPC Resources page through the “Blank Example Entry Form” link.
Jamboree Features
- Beer Tent from 11-3pm
- All proceeds from beer sales will benefit our wonderful community radio station, KRFC 88.9

- Unicorn Pony Cart Rides from 11:30-2:30pm
