We will discuss the many roles that contribute to a vibrant local food economy and why it is important to maintain this self-sufficiency and eat local. Resources for finding local food and local organizations doing work to promote the local food system will be highlighted.
Presented by Sari Kimbell:
Sari has worked in many sectors of the food industry, cultivating a passion for local food. In 2009 she joined Grant Family Farms. She began a local produce wholesale program that delivered directly to local restaurants along the Front Range. In 2010 she took over as CSA Director and grew the CSA to 5,000 members.
