2015 Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off

It’s official.. our Annual Giant Pumpkin Contest is all grown up!  Now that the puns are out of the way, here are the details:

Fort Collins Nursery’s 7th Annual Giant Pumpkin Contest will take place on Sunday, October 4th.   For the first time ever, we are an officially sanctioned contest site for the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth which should bring a whole new level of competition and some truly staggering entries!  Growers will compete for cash prizes and awards in multiple prize categories and our exciting festival atmosphere will provide fun for the entire family!

Cash Prizes

Heaviest Pumpkins

• First Place- $1000
• Second Place- $500
• Third Place- $250
• Fourth Place- $150
• Fifth Place- $100

Heaviest Squash

• First Place- $200

Non-Cash Prizes for first place only in the following categories:

• Prettiest Pumpkin

• Heaviest Kids Pumpkin (12 and under)

Registration/ Check-in

Contestants may register and check in between 10-11am.  Weighing will begin at 11:30.  Contestants are encouraged to check in early so we can begin weighing in a timely fashion.  Registration forms are available at Fort Collins Nursery the day of the event or on page 1 of the GPC weigh-off handbook available here.
