Smart Solar Gardening Through Design and Micro-climate

iris-17660_960_720If you own or rent a house, or live in an apartment, you can learn to landscape and garden smart by designing in harmony with natures light and shadow patterns. By learning design principles based on Solar Engineering, you can maximize the health and yield of your plants and landscape by creating micro-climates that will help control light, moisture and temperature. We will also discuss ways to increase awareness of yearly sun movement through art, photography, symbols.

About the Instructor

Kelly O’Donnell is a Solar Engineer/Speaker/Writer/Artist/Poet/Maker. She has helped build and lived in several active, passive, off grid and grid tie solar houses. She has published articles, given presentations, at Ignite, Northern Colorado MakerFaire, colleges, radio shows and festivals that relate the integration of Solar energy with architecture, art, symbols, poetry, and gardening.
