2011 Spring Open House

Are you ready to start the growing season? So are we! Help us kick it off at our Spring Open House, April 16-17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Enjoy live, local music and family fun including a jumpy castle,  games for kids and face painting Sat. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Look for our special Spring Open House discounts all weekend!

Sale items include: 20% off fountains, statuary, birdbaths, colorful water wands, Pro Mix soil (ideal for organic gardening), and much more!

Fort Collins Nursery is pleased to announce a great fund-raiser for a great cause: Therapeutic Gardens at Poudre Valley Hospital. During our Spring Open House, buy any 2 ½ “ herb and we will donate 50% to the gardens!

Poudre Valley Hospital’s Patient and Family Centered Care Committee will be on hand to talk about their project. They are excited to get this wonderful project off the ground for patients, families and employees to spend time in a beautiful, natural and healing space.

Local herb grower and guru Sue Oberle will also be on hand to answer all your questions on how to grow, store and use herbs for culinary dishes, aromatherapy and medicine both days between 1-3 p.m.

Local music will include: Sat. 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: McDailey Experiment; 1-3 p.m.: Big South String band; Sun. 11 a.m.-1 p.m:. Mark Lincoln; 1-3 p.m.: Big South String Band.

The Junior League of Fort Collins will also be selling tickets for their 29th annual Garden Tour on June 18. Fort Collins Nursery is also sponsoring the tour, which will explore gardens off Mountain Avenue in historic Old Town.

Jim Stallard Sharpening Service will also be at our open house from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Bring in your tired, dull shovels, trowels, and knives and let Jim sharpen them up!

Boy Scout Troop 87 will be selling tasty breakfast and lunch choices as a fund-raiser for their educational projects and outings.
