You’ll learn why peaches and plums do better with fan or open center forms\, why apples and pears can do any shape\, and how espalier works with the biology of fruit trees. This class is for home gardeners\, educators\, professionals and anyone interested in learning the art of espalier. \n  \nPresented by Mason Vollmer: \nMason Vollmer is a retired Waldorf high school science and gardening teacher. We will cover what composting is\, why it is beneficial\, how to choose a composting site and process\, the do’s and don’ts of composting\, how to use your compost\, and some of the science behind it. Keep your food scraps out of our landfill by learning how to compost them yourself\, and create a quality compost product to use in your own gardens. Whether you have already started your composting system or have barely given it a thought\, we can help you become a better composter!  \n  \nPresented by Jamie Blanchard-Poling & Max Poling: \nStarted in 2018\, Compost Queen is the innovative composting service created by Jamie Blanchard-Poling\, a longtime environmental steward and nature lover. Inspired by her passion for renewable energy and zero waste\, Jamie started Compost Queen to provide Northern Colorado with an achievable option for home composting. Max Poling\, Compost Queen’s Business Manager and “Hand to the Queen”\, enjoys driving tractors on our farms and helps create a great compost product for our customers.
