If you plan to grow your own fresh produce\, join us for a thoughtful look at what you can do to improve the success of your own home vegetable garden. \n  \nPresented by Amy Lentz: \nAmy Lentz is a CSU Extension Horticulture Agent working to address relevant horticultural issues such as sustainability\, food insecurity and urban forestry. Prior to moving to Colorado\, Amy managed the horticulture farm for a regional university in Kentucky\, providing her with first-hand experience in growing a wide variety of horticultural crops in both greenhouse and field settings\, including apples\, blueberries\, vegetables\, poinsettias and bedding plants. We will also show you simple tools that make collecting\, drying\, processing\, and storing seeds a breeze. \n  \nPresented by Alex Zeidner: \nAlex’s love affair for veg started as a child growing a giant 300lb pumpkin here in Fort Collins\, CO. Since then his passion and experience have expanded to encompass seed saving\, biodynamics\, and growing delicious produce. Alex is passionate about how food connects people and how choices made in agriculture reverberate out into our culture and future.
