Each highly accomplished artist and songwriter has achieved tremendous success at a regional and national level.  This “in the round” format spotlights the distinctive talents and songwriting skills of each artist as they take turns featuring their own songs. Additional harmonies\, percussion\, and spontaneous leads from the rest of the group will give each song an improvisational dynamic and make for a truly one-of-a-kind performance! The intimacy of this concert experience is heightened by down-home storytelling and the serenity of a beautiful outdoor setting surrounded by plants\, trees\, and nature. \nDon’t miss this unique opportunity to see your favorites take the stage together! \nArtist Details:\nLiz Barnez\n\nLiz Barnez was born in New Orleans\, Louisiana and grew up inspired by jazz\, blues\, folk\, gospel\, R&B\, Dixieland\, funk\, and parade music. She embraced the diversity of her musical and creative upbringing and transformed those into her own eclectic style of music.  \n \nLiz Barnez started her musical career in the clubs and festivals in her hometown of New Orleans\, Louisiana.  She moved to Colorado in the late 1980’s and has been a mainstay in that music community since then.\n \nLiz was voted by her peers as the “Best Singer-Songwriter Female” in the FoCoMA (Fort Collins Musicians Association) Peer Awards 2020.\n\n\n\n\nInducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame as a member of the Mother Folkers (the most carefully pronounced name in show business) in 2019.  The Mother Folkers is a group of women musicians who began in the 1970’s  with original members Mary Flower\, Mary Stribling\, Kathi DeFrancis\, and Eileen Niehouse.  Over the years the members have included Mollie O’Brien\, Carla Skiaky\, and Vicki Taylor to name a few.  Liz joined the group in the early 1990’s. He has written hundreds of songs\, and is a registered BMI songwriter and performer\, as well as past and present member of the International Bluegrass Music Association\, the Colorado Bluegrass Music Association\, and the Colorado Blues Association. He is a two-time winner of the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at Merlefest in Wilkesboro\, NC\, and enjoys co-writing with a few of his favorite writers.  Read More \n \n\nJohn Magnie\nJohn Magnie pursued his interest in music and developed his skills in singing and songwriting at an early age. He started playing the accordion at the age of six and eventually learned other musical instruments\, such as the keyboards\, guitar\, and harmonica. \nHis music career spans over several decades\, and he has established himself as one of the most skilled and versatile musicians in the industry. He started his musical journey as a member of the band\, The Subdudes. The band gained immense popularity and became known for their unique blend of American roots music that reflects blues\, funk\, and traditional rock ‘n’ roll. Magnie played an essential role in the band’s success\, bringing his exceptional talent in playing accordion\, keyboards\, and other instruments. \nIn addition to his work with The Subdudes\, Magnie has also collaborated with other artists and is a member of the Young Ancients. He has also produced and performed on several albums throughout his career.  \n  \n\nAngie Stevens\n“Go on: Just try to find a single soul who’s seen Angie Stevens live and not been completely entranced. Backed by a stellar cast of musicians\, Stevens engages audiences in a way that makes every performance feel intimate\, like she’s playing her songs just for you. The amiable chanteuse has shared the bill with a wide array of performers and had every audience riveted by the end of each set. Hell\, she’s so compelling\, we’re pretty sure that her earnest acoustic-based rock could win over a Cephalic Carnage crowd. Bolstered by songs that are often chillingly poignant (‘Judy\,’ for example\, a song about her mother)\, Stevens makes the icicles form on your spine the minute she takes the stage.” \nAngie Stevens has made a name for herself over her 20-year long career. She has been named Denver’s Best Singer/Songwriter by both the editors and fans of Westword (Denver) as well as Emerging Artist of the Year and Best Independent Artist of the Year (Hapiskratch Records). Her newest album\, “learn to let the light in” is a raw expose of her journey through grief\, her recent battle with breast cancer and the community that got her through it.
