SUMMARY:HONEYHONEY (Rock Garden Concert Series)
DESCRIPTION:HONEYHONEY\nwith Dead Horses\n\nDate: Saturday\, August 4\nDoors: 5:30pm\nShow: 6:00pm\nTickets: $15 ADV/ $18 Door\n\nClick here for tickets \n  \nArtist Details:\nHONEYHONEY\nThe third full-length effort from L.A.-based duo HONEYHONEY\, 3 is an album born from fascination with the sweet and the sleazy\, light and dark\, danger and magic. Working with Dave Cobb (the producer behind Jason Isbell’s Southeastern and Sturgill Simpson’s Metamodern Sounds in Country Music)\, lead singer/banjo player/violinist Suzanne Santo and vocalist/guitarist Ben Jaffe twist their gritty\, harmony-driven brand of Southern-flavored rock & roll through tales of lost souls\, broken boys\, girls with gold in their spit. Equal parts inward-looking and endlessly curious\, the two songwriters also take a mirror to their own experience in lust and heartache and never shy away from revealing the messy truth. And whether they rattle or soothe or joyfully inspire\, HONEYHONEY instill each song with a straight-from-the-gut honesty and elegance of storytelling that make 3 both cathartic and electrifying.  Read More \n \nDead Horses\nAt fifteen\, Dead Horses frontwoman Sarah Vos’ world turned upside down. Raised in a strict\, fundamentalist home\, Vos lost everything when she and her family were expelled from the rural Wisconsin church where her father had long served as pastor. What happened next is the story of Dead Horses’ stunning new album\, ‘My Mother the Moon\,” a record full of trauma and triumph\, despair and hope\, pain and resilience. \nBlending elements of traditional roots with contemporary indie folk\, the album is both familiar and unexpected\, unflinchingly honest in its portrayal of modern American life\, yet optimistic in its unshakable faith in brighter days to come.  Read More \n \nVenue Details:\nThis summer marks the 4th season of Fort Collins Nursery’s Rock Garden Concert Series.
