2016 Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off & Fall Jamboree

Fort Collins Nursery’s 8th Annual Giant Pumpkin Contest will take place on Sunday, October 2nd. For the 2nd year, we are an officially sanctioned contest site for the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth which brings a whole new level of competition and some truly staggering entries! Growers will compete for cash prizes and awards in multiple prize categories. this year we will continue to grow our event by adding live music and a beer tent to our exciting festival atmosphere that will provide fun for the entire family!

Rules and Regulations
Registration/ Check-in
Contestants may register and check in between 10-11am. Weighing will begin at 11:30. Contestants are encouraged to check in early so we can begin weighing in a timely fashion. Registration forms are available at Fort Collins Nursery the day of the event or on page 1 of the GPC weigh-off handbook available here.
Jamboree Features
- Live Music featuring Choice City Seven from 1-3pm
- Beer Tent from 11-3pm featuring beers generously donated by Pateros Creek Brewing Co., Odell Brewing Co., and Scrumpy’s
- All proceeds from beer sales will benefit our wonderful community radio station, KRFC 88.9
- Schmickels Hot Dog Cart
- Unicorn Pony Cart Rides from 12-3pm
