2019 Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off & Fall Jamboree

Join us for Fort Collins Nursery’s 11th Annual Giant Pumpkin Contest on Saturday, October 12th. We are an officially sanctioned contest site for the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth which brings a whole new level of competition and some truly staggering entries! Growers will compete for cash prizes and awards in multiple prize categories.

Competition Categories & Prizes
- Heaviest Pumpkin
- Heaviest Pumpkin 1st Place: $1,800
- Heaviest Pumpkin 2nd Place: $1,200
- Heaviest Pumpkin 3rd Place: $600
- Heaviest Pumpkin 4th Place: $250
- Heaviest Pumpkin 5th Place: $100
- Heaviest Squash 1st Place: $100
- Howard Dill (Prettiest Pumpkin) 1st Place: $50
- Kids Division (13 and under) 1st, 2nd, 3rd place: Ribbon & Prize
Kids Division entries will be weighed and prizes distributed before weighing the adult division entries.
Rules and Regulations
Registration/ Check-in
Contestants may register and check in between 10-11am. Weighing will begin at approximately 11:30. Contestants are encouraged to check in early so we can begin weighing in a timely fashion. Registration forms are available at Fort Collins Nursery the day of the event.
Kids Division entries will be registered in the back canopy.
Jamboree Features
- Beer Tent from 11-3pm
- All proceeds from beer sales will benefit The Growing Project
- Food from Taquería Los Pepes
- Coffee & hot drinks from The Coffee Stop from 9:30 – 1:30
- Tractor Hayrides from 10:30-2:30pm (Rides will be offered every 30 minutes)
- Pumpkin Bowling
- Face Painting
- Lawn Games: Cornhole & Ladder Toss
