Course Description
Join Amy Lentz, Horticulture Instructor at Colorado State University, for a focused class on how to successfully grow those garden favorites – tomatoes and peppers. We will talk about how to start these warm season crops in the early spring from seeds, which varieties do well in our climate, what conditions are preferred for best quality, and pro tips for harvesting.

Amy Lentz is an Instructor with the Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Department, teaching plant propagation and crop production and management classes at CSU. Prior to moving to Colorado, Amy managed the horticulture farm for a regional university in Kentucky, providing her with first-hand experience in growing a wide variety of horticultural crops in both greenhouse and field settings, including apples, blueberries, vegetables, poinsettias and bedding plants.
