Course Description:
This class will discuss which plants do best in high light and low light areas; which like to go dry and which prefer to stay on the wetter side; pests and how to treat for them; how to prune plants (and which do not take well to pruning); how to transplant; Q&A to follow.
Presented by Scott Jeffries:
Scott Jeffries is the owner of The Emerald Leaf Wholesale Greenhouse, a wholesale distributor of interior foliage, blooming plants, cactus and succulents for 13 years. The Emerald Leaf brings in plant material from well over 60 growers in Florida, California, Oregon, Hawaii, and Texas. They have grown their facility from one employee in a 4,200 sq. ft. greenhouse to 17 employees in a 42,000 sq. ft. greenhouse and they supply plants to nurseries/garden centers, florists and interior plant scapers in seven states.
