National Eat a Cranberry Day

Did you know that cranberries are not only tasty, but considered a superfruit? It’s true- and November
23rd is the day we celebrate the plethora of health benefits that cranberries provide such as improved
immune function, decreased blood pressure, and a lowered risk of UTIs. Cranberries can be enjoyed
baked into goods, dried, or even as juice or wine. Today is also literally the perfect day to celebrate
cranberries, as they are a common side dish of the lesser-known holiday that also occurs on the 23rd –
Thanksgiving Day. Please be aware that health benefits cranberries provide such as decreased blood
pressure may be offset by the company you spend your Thanksgiving with.
