Course Description:

Our Colorado climate poses many challenges to the vegetable gardener such as a shorter growing season, unpredictable weather, and uninvited pests and diseases. If you plan to grow your own fresh produce, join us for a thoughtful look at what you can do to improve the success of your own home vegetable garden.

Presented by Amy Lentz:

Amy Lentz is a CSU Extension Horticulture Agent working to address relevant horticultural issues such as sustainability, food insecurity and urban forestry. Prior to moving to Colorado, Amy managed the horticulture farm for a regional university in Kentucky, providing her with first-hand experience in growing a wide variety of horticultural crops in both greenhouse and field settings, including apples, blueberries, vegetables, poinsettias and bedding plants. Now, in her current role, Amy educates the public on a wide range of topics to help them be more successful with their gardens and businesses.
