Course Description

Making your garden and landscape more water efficient can include easy changes to current irrigation regimes, proper plant selection, and using landscape best management practices. Join Alison O’Connor from CSU Extension as she discusses recommendations for waterwise practices that will help save you money – and make your landscape more sustainable.

Presented by Alison O’Connor, PhD

Alison O’Connor is the Colorado State University Extension Horticulture Specialist in Larimer County. She’s been with Extension for twenty-one years. Alison coordinates the Larimer County Master Gardener  program and assists homeowners and industry with horticultural questions. She attended Iowa State University and The Ohio State University, majoring in horticulture, and completed her Ph.D. at Colorado State University in 2014, studying nursery tree production and landscape establishment. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, tending to her backyard chickens, and baking delicious treats for friends.
