Supporting Our Community Through Music

Close your eyes and picture this: a mild evening, the sweet smell of flowers mingling with the tantalizing smell of grilled bratwurst, a cold beer in your hand, and the sound of live music bubbling forth as the band on stage erupts into song.

This is the scene you’ll find at our Rock Garden Concert Series this summer at Fort Collins Nursery, where we host three amazing shows at our beautiful outdoor venue. Each concert provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of your day, and better yet, each is a fundraiser for some of our favorite non-profit organizations!

At Fort Collins Nursery we believe in the power of community organizations to make our world a better place. We have been in business since 1932, and we achieved this by doing our part to make sure to support our community. The Rock Garden Concerts are the latest phase in our efforts to make sure northern Colorado remains a thriving and vibrant place to live, and one of the most fun to date!

Our first concert, on June 12, features Dead Horses and opener Alysia Kraft. Ticket sales benefit Project Self-Sufficiency in their mission to help single parents realize their dreams for financial independence while creating an improved quality of life for parents and their children.

Our second concert, on July 11, featuring Grant Farm with opener Mike Clark and the Sugar Sounds, benefits The Matthews House, an organization dedicated to empowering youth and families by building trusting relationships and providing resources to disrupt the cycles of poverty and abuse.

The final concert in our yearly series is on August 1 and features Sean Kelly of The Samples with opener Liz Barnez. This show benefits The Vegetable Connection, a great local organization working to create a healthier community through food education, increasing access to nutritional food, and supporting local farmers.

All of our concerts feature dog adoption opportunities, brought to you by Found Nation Animal Rescue, as well as food from Schmickel’s Hot Dog Cart & Taquería Los Pepes, plus beer and wine (alcohol proceeds support each event’s non-profit benefactor)!
